This Omega ladies Deville quartz wristwatch and Omega ladies wristwatch (both not currently in working order) sold for very respectable £300 at our January 2022 auction

Our first auction of the year took place this month on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th January and featured an exciting array of items, from 20th-century British pottery and large collections of teaware to wristwatches and even a full suit of professionally-made armour!

Plenty of lots from our Silverdale Saleroom January auction sold for a good price, so check out some of the highlights from our most recent auction below. Who knows? Maybe they’ll provide some inspiration if you have a valuation in mind.

A rare Wade cellulose Walt Disney mantle clock of Bashful from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves

Lot 266 was a rare Wade cellulose Walt Disney mantle clock of Bashful from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and our top seller of the month! This charming piece ultimately sold for £460.

As always, pottery pieces proved very popular at auction this month, and we saw a large quantity of rare pottery, including vases, tea ware and figures from famous names such as Wade, Moorcroft and Wedgwood, pass through our saleroom and fetch some amazing prices. This gorgeous lot of 24 pieces of Royal Albert Lady Carlyle pattern tea and coffee ware sold for a wonderful £340.

32 pieces of Wedgwood Hathaway Rose patterned tea and dinner ware including a coffee pot, teapot, dinner plates, oval platters and more

Lot 720 was a large collection of 32 pieces of Wedgwood Hathaway Rose patterned tea and dinner ware including a coffee pot, teapot, dinner plates, oval platters and more that sold for an amazing £280.

Three gold full sovereigns

Gold sovereign lots often prove popular with our auction goers. Each of these gold full sovereigns sold for over £300 at our Silverdale saleroom this month!

An Omega Constellation automatic chronometer gents wristwatch

Lot 408 was an Omega Constellation automatic chronometer gents wristwatch (currently not in working order) that sold for a wonderful £380.

A limited edition Moorcroft Chapada Toucan vase, and a Moorcroft Anemone on Blue Ground large handled vase

Our customers love a Moorcroft vase, and this month was no exception. Lot 181 (left) was a limited edition Moorcroft Chapada Toucan vase that sold for £340, while Lot 398 was a Moorcroft Anemone on Blue Ground large handled vase that found a new home for £280.

An early reproduction full suit of professionally made armour

This incredibly impressive full suit of professionally made armour sold for £300 – a steal!
