A Preview of our 2023 March Fine Art Sale

Our March three-day online auction will be taking place at 10am on Thursday 9th, Friday 10th and Saturday 11th March. Bidders will be welcome in-person, without need for an appointment.The sale will also take place online with a video and audio link however, so you can continue to bid safely from the comfort of your home. Live online bids can be made through The Saleroom and Easylive Auctions – please note that unfortunately the commission bid function on our website is temporarily unavailable. We also accept telephone bidding, so please contact us to arrange that beforehand if you wish to bid over the phone.

We’ve got an amazing range of items up for auction in March, including a cased Queen Elizabeth II 95th birthday limited edition coin, with an original purchase invoice of £13,499! Additionally, we also have a Tudor Pelagos M25600TN automatic watch – perfect for high performance in underwater conditions.

Our March Fine Art auction is set to feature a fantastic collection of pottery, including a wide range of Royal Doulton, hand painted items by J. H. Plant, Beswick pottery, Beatrix Potter figures and more, as well as a varied selection of antique furniture and household items.

We have an extensive collection of records from 1970s-1990s, Henry Hadfield Cubley oil paintings, chess sets and quality jewellery going under the hammer, including vintage watches such as Rolex, Omega, Tudor and Jaegar-Lecoultre. There’s also a good selection of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, bookcases, cabinets and chest of drawers.

A Milwyn Holloway fine art ceramic painting

Lot 935 is a Milwyn Holloway fine art ceramic painting, hand painted with horses, chickens and ducks in a gilt frame.

An Isabella Pope studio pottery plant vase, and a Royal Worcester two handled urn and cover

On the left is Lot 750, an Isabella Pope studio pottery plant vase, signed and dated 1991. On the right is Lot 984, a superb Royal Worcester two handled urn and cover. This excellent piece is dated 1939 and has been gilded and hand painted with fruit by Horace Price.
