Highlights from our February Online Auction

Vintage comic collections have proved popular at our auctions in recent months, with this collection of vintage comics and annuals including titles from Detective Comics (DC) and Marvel selling for £190 at our February sale

Our February 2021 online auctiontook place this month over Friday 12th and Saturday 13th February and featured an exciting array of items, from furniture and household items to a large assortment of rare pottery pieces, dinnerware, gold sovereigns, and some interesting collections of art books too.

Plenty of lots from our online auction live from the Silverdale Saleroom sold for a good price, so check out some of the highlights from our most recent auction below. Who knows? Maybe they’ll provide some inspiration if you have a valuation in mind.

Our highest selling lot this month was this collection of assorted Kevin Francis facepots, all boxed with certificates, that sold for a staggering £990

We had various gold sovereigns pass through our saleroom this month that proved popular with our buyers, with the half sovereigns (coins 2 and 3 above) selling for around £165 each and the full sovereigns (coins 1 and 4 above) selling for £300-£320 each

As always, we saw a large quantity of rare pottery pieces pass through our saleroom, as well as plenty of highly sought-after dinnerware. This collection of Emma Bridgewater Roses dinnerware included patterned bowls, small mugs, a large bowl and tea towels, selling for £180 altogether

This Minton Marlow dinner service collection sold for £180 and included 6 dinner plates, 6 lunch plates, 6 soup bowls, 6 side plates, 6 cups and saucers, milk, sugar, gravy boat, 2 tureens and a platter

A 25-piece collection of Royal Albert Old Country Rose dinnerware

Royal Albert Old Country Rose items are always popular with our buyers. This 25-piece collection included dinner plates, rimmed pasta bowls, side plates, egg cups and more, and sold for £170
