The Potteries Auctions October auction is our first two-day sale following our new format, spanning over Friday 9th October and Saturday 10th October as opposed to the usual Saturday and Sunday – starting at 10am on both days. This means that our viewing days have also moved. Viewings can be arranged by appointment only on Wednesday 7th October and Thursday 8th October. On auction days there will be limited bidding in the room and is also by appointment only. Please call to book as places are strictly limited.

Masks are required for both viewing days and auction days, and there will be no viewing or collecting of items on auction days. For more information on the safety measures we currently have in place at our Silverdale saleroom please click here.

Other bidding such as live online bidding, commission bids and telephone bidding can be made through The Saleroom and Easylive Auctions. Find out more on how to submit a commissioned bid at auction, and view the full catalogue for our upcoming auction here.

The Friday of our two-day auction will feature over 200 unreserved tray lots of good tea, coffee and dinnerware, ceramics, glassware, bric-a-brac, metal ware, mixed pottery and collector’s items including camera equipment, clocks, silver, coins and stamps. We’ll also have an array of gold and silver, watches, and jewellery including rings, necklaces, bangles, earrings and costume jewellery.

On the Saturday we have a large quantity of furniture available, including chests of drawers, coffers, cabinets, tables, chairs, display units, occasional tables, garden furniture, tools and ornaments, armchairs, settees and many other collectable household items such as mirrors, artwork, record players and speakers. We will also have some rifles and pistol lots available.

As always, they’ll be a wide range of 20th-century pottery lots on offer across both days, featuring leading names and popular styles such as Royal Albert Old Country Roses, Royal Doulton and Coalport figurines, Wedgwood, Moorcroft, Beswick, Royal Crown Derby, Bunnykins, Beatrix Potter and Kevin Francis & Peggy Davies.
