Take a Look At the Safety Measures We Have In Place At Potteries Auctions

In line with government guidance on social distancing following easing of restrictions on 15 June 2020, we wanted to share with you how we are going to keep our staff, our customers and visitors to Potteries Auctions safe at this time.

If you have visited the Potteries Auctions’ Silverdale saleroom in the past for either sales or valuation days you might be wondering what to expect when you make a return visit.

We wanted to share with you how we have made changes to the interior spaces of our buildings to help us greet visitors safely, and in a socially-distanced way.

What To Expect When You Visit Us At Potteries Auctions

In line with government guidelines on social distancing and the internal physical space at Potteries Auctions, we need to restrict the numbers of people we can allow into the building at any one time and so we have a ‘doorbell’ entry system in addition to operating an appointment only system for people who would like to visit our sites for valuations and collections.

We are also opening to visitors for viewings by appointments too, and are happy to be able to announce that we will allow limited numbers of people into live auctions.  As yet we are still working out the details, and so please enquire with us about this on +44 (0)1782 638100 and our team will be able to update you on the latest situation in this quick changing situation.

When you arrive at Potteries Auctions for your appointment, you will be greeted by a member of staff who will guide you through into the building.

Around the building once you are inside, you will see plenty of signs prompting you on hand sanitisers, safe standing distances and there will also be plenty of bins to dispose of any gloves, wipes or other materials safely.

There are plenty of signs around the building prompting visitors to help keep them and our staff at Potteries Auctions safe.

We have taped markers on the floor to help customers with maintaining appropriate social distance from others in the rooms, as well as have plenty of bins for disposal of tissues, wipes and other materials

There are screens at the desks to allow customers to speak with our valuers at their appointment, and for safety of staff and customers we will not be offering teas and coffees and ask our customer refrain from using toilets whilst with us to reduce the risks associated with coronavirus.

We also have a collection service, where you can make an appointment to pick up your items in person at the Silverdale site. Please note that we ask that you bring your own packing materials with you if you are collecting goods.

Silverdale Saleroom Opening Hours

We have made an adjustment to our opening hours, and are now open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.  Please contact us in advance to visit by appointment rather than turning up unannounced, to avoid disappointment.
