Role Overview:

Potteries Auctions Ltd is looking for an Office Administrator to join the team. The role will involve supporting the team with the day-to-day operations of the auction house, from customer service, administration, to preparations for the auctions.

Tasks: Customer Service - dealing with customer enquiries and issues to do with auction entries, purchases and general enquiries via the telephone, email and in person. Supporting the saleroom team and ensuring a high level of service is maintained.

General auction preparation – supporting the team in meeting deadlines and ensuring all back-office, website, and marketing preparations are conducted.

Website - keeping the website up to date with auction notifications and updating general images. Liaising with the social media team.

General activities – helping to maintain a high level of customer service and admin support, while supporting the team with other general office tasks. Overseeing office supplies and maintenance.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organised, professional, have excellent communication and collaboration skills, be friendly and approachable.

Previous auction experience not necessary.

Must be computer literate and familiar with Word and Excel

Good written English skills required
