Highlights from our June 2022 Auction

This large collection of Royal Albert Old Country Roses Tea and Dinner ware included dinner plates, a tea set with large teapot and more and sold for a brilliant £180!

Our June auction took place this month on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th June and featured an exciting array of items, from 20th-century British pottery and large collections of teaware to jewellery and even a snooker table!

Plenty of lots from our Silverdale Saleroom June auction sold for a good price, so check out some of the highlights from our most recent auction below. Who knows? Maybe they’ll provide some inspiration if you have a valuation in mind.

A 9ct gold bracelet with 14 9ct gold charms

This 9ct gold bracelet with 14 9ct gold charms was our top-selling lot of the month, selling for a wonderful £680!

A 32-piece set of Crown Staffordshire Cobalt Blue & Gilt Decorated Coffee, Tea and Dinnerware

Lot 976 was a gorgeous 32-piece set of Crown Staffordshire Cobalt Blue & Gilt Decorated Coffee, Tea and Dinnerware, and sold for a very respectable £300.

A good large tray lot of Austrian high quality silver-plated cutlery

Lot 668 featured a good large tray lot of Austrian high quality silver-plated cutlery, plus MOP handled pieces and other items. It sold for an impressive £220.

Large limited edition Royal Doulton Disney villain figures (all boxed, L-R: Maleficent, The Queen, The Witch)

These large limited edition Royal Doulton Disney villain figures (all boxed, L-R: Maleficent, The Queen, The Witch) each sold for £170, £180 and £200 respectively at our two-day auction this past weekend.

As always, pottery pieces proved very popular at auction this month, and we saw a large quantity of rare pottery, including vases, tea ware and figures from famous names such as Lorna Bailey, Royal Doulton, Beswick, Moorcroft, Wedgwood, Carltonware, and Kevin Francis, pass through our saleroom and fetch some amazing prices. A collection of 9ct gold scrap items

Lot 732 was a collection of 9ct gold scrap items, which sold for £200. Not bad at all!

178 pieces of Royal Crown Derby A775 Vine pattern dinner and tea ware

This lot included a whopping 178 pieces of Royal Crown Derby A775 Vine pattern dinner and tea ware! In the end it went for a hammer price of £320.

An Edwardian mahogany snooker table, complete with various snooker and pool ball sets, cues, score board, rests and table cover

The most interesting lot of the weekend was most certainly this Edwardian mahogany snooker table, complete with various snooker and pool ball sets, cues, score board, rests and table cover, and was recently recovered and re-cushioned. It ultimately sold for a wonderful £380!
