Potteries Auctions is currently based in Silverdale, Stoke-On-Trent, which means we are always looking for local history items and books to enter into our sales. Previously sold items:

History of Staffordshire by William Pitt. The pencil notes are believed to be in the hand of Enoch Wood and are considered to be of significant historical importance by the Potteries museum. Sold for £260. 

A sociological history of the City of Stoke-On-Trent by Ernest J.D Warrillow MBE, the silver jubilee edition. Sold for £90. 

Coming up in our November 9th Fine Art sale:

Plots of Natural History of Staffordshire by Robert Plot. Estimate £50-£100.
