SILVERDALE SALEROOM - DAY ONE - LOTS 1 - 810 - March 2020 Two Day Auction of Rare 20th Century British Pottery, collectors items, jewellery, & antiques

We are holding a two day Antique & Fine Art Auction on March 14th and 15th at the Silverdale salerooms. 1400 Lots will be sold over the weekend with day one consisting of over 800 lots of pottery and ceramics.

LOTS 1 - 810

Day One commences at 10am with a substantial amount of quality tea, coffee and dinnerware from manufacturers Paragon, Spode, Royal Albert Old Country Roses, Aynsley Orchard Gold, Hammersley and Minton.

We have one of the largest collections we have ever seen of James Kent Dubarry patterned chintz ware and an exquisite collection of Shelley including rare patterned pieces, trios Preserve Pots, Egg Cups, Lemon Juicers and Toast Racks, water jugs, vases, mottled items, King George IV advertising musical large jug 8745, Biscuit Barrel, Planters, Flared Vase, Candlesticks, Toast Rack, Cruet Set, Lidded Bowl, Footed Bowl, Pin Dishes and a Wileman & Co (Foley) Intarsio Jardinere.

Following on from there is a section of rare Beswick animals, birds, horses, cattle and wall plaques, Beatrix Potter and Bunnykins.

There are over 300 Lots of Royal Doulton Animals and Figures, prototypes, colourways, prestige and advertising pieces. Also Character & Toby Jugs, Flambe , Lambeth, Stoneware, Sung and Kingsware.

An interesting collection of Royal Crown Derby paperweights, Minton and Coalport gilded cabinet plates follow. Plus Lladro and Goebel figures and some fine examples of Royal Worcester figures. Moorcroft vases and a number of trial and prestige pieces with designs from both William and Walter. 

At the end of day one there is an impressive 100 lot section of Wedgwood by artists and designers to include Ruby Tonquin, Elwyn James, Eduardo Paolozzi, Arnold Machin, Millicent Taplin, Norman Wilson, Ivy Garland, Alfred Hoare Powell and Thomas Allen with some excellent rare items.
