Here’s a breakdown of our buying fees at auction:
For payment on any successfully won items, we accept cash, Debit card, Visa and Mastercard, and PayPal (with a 5% admin charge).
Buyer’s Premium
Buyer’s Premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot that you successfully buy. This is currently 25% + VAT.
Other charges
Other charges (imposed by bidding platforms) you may incur at auction include:
Buying via 3rd party websites such as The Saleroom (4.9%) or EasyLive Auctions (£3 or 3%) can incur additional charges for using their services. Please contact each website directly for this information.
Paying with Paypal will add an extra 5% to your total.
Free Online Bidding
We offer our own free (no internet surcharge fee) online bidding platform where you can bid live on all our auctions- you can register here.
Reduced Premium for In-Person Bidding
If you visit any of our salerooms to bid in person AND collect your winning lots on the day, you will benefit from a reduced buyer’s premium of 20% + VAT.
