Rare 20th century Pottery, Antique, Collectors and Fine Art Auction

We are holding our first Antiques & Fine Art Auction of 2017 on Saturday 11th February.
There are a number of desireable oriental artworks including a collection of Qing Dynasty & Ming Dynasty Jade, wood carvings, ivory figures, early porcelain plaques, a signed painted paper table screen, cloisonné, bronze rhino incense burner and a pair of Theodore Deck rare Persian blue glazed Chinese form vases decorated with Chinese archaic dragons. There are also Oriental pictures and paintings by Gabriel Corelli, Fr J. Ostermann, Harry Everington, Eddie William Powell, E Lewis and L Bund.
For the coin and jewellery collectors, there are gold proof coin collections, silver coins, antique coins, gold sovereigns, banknotes, diamond rings, gold jewellery & scrap gold, silver bowls, silver cutlery collections, silver canteen cutlery set, silver tea sets, costume jewellery, gents & ladies wristwatches by Omega, Rolex, Tudor, Longines, Raymond Weil, pocket watches.
There are a number of lots of antique and quality reproduction furniture. A Victorian ormolu mounted marble pedestal column, collections of stamps and ephemera. Victorian oil lamps, Clocks, barometers, collector’s items, Toys, collection of china Dolls and costumes, vintage fur coats, textiles and mirrors.
Amongst the more unusual lots is a collection of 16mm film reels taken by the White Fathers Missionaries in various African countries during the 1940’s up until the 1960’s. Another interesting lot comprises of a selection of military ephemera from Lance Corporal Eric Raymond Stretch, including paperwork, documents and German propaganda photos depicting the Germans taking over Austrian towns prior to the war. Photos include Adolf Hitler pictured with a child of the family. Also featured is a collection of paperwork, books and diary's from the estate of Jungian psycho-analyst Dr Leopold Stein, an L & NWR Railway poster by F Whatley, Autograph Album,
Military items include WWII German officers swords and daggers.
This sale features some interesting twentieth century British ceramics namely a large collection of Royal Crown Derby paperweights, Masons large prestige pieces, Wade, Carltonware, Charlotte Rhead, Minton, Lise Moorcroft Art pottery, Moore Brothers, Majolica & Kevin Francis figurines. From Moorcroft there are rare early Macintyre vases, a miniature tyg, flambé, powder blue, personal items, photographs, postcards and rare personal factory items from the Walter Moorcroft estate.
There is a number of rare Royal Doulton figures, loving cups, character jugs, animals, birds, flambé animals and a rare Bunnykins collection. Minton pate-sur-pate vases signed A Birks and E Steele, Minton parian lady figure, Wedgwood Fairyland lustre vase and Poole pottery signed chargers & bowls.
